Privacy Policy

We care about your privacy as much as we care about your dog. This policy explains what information we collect when you use our dog-walking services or website, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

1. Information We Collect

When you book a walk, contact us or create an account, we may collect:

  • Contact details – your name, email address, phone number and home address.
  • Access information – key, lockbox or gate codes and alarm instructions needed to collect your dog.
  • Booking and payment details – service dates, times, invoices and payment confirmations (card details are handled by our secure payment provider).
  • Emergency contacts – an alternative person we can reach if you are unavailable.
  • Website data – basic technical information such as browser type, device and pages visited.

2. Information About Your Pet

To keep every walk safe and happy, we ask for details about your dog, including name, breed, age, temperament, walking habits, dietary needs, medical conditions, medications, vaccination records and your veterinarian’s contact details. We use this information only to care for your dog, to respond in an emergency and to tailor our service. Photos or updates we take during walks are shared with you, and we will only post them publicly (for example on social media) with your permission.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To schedule, provide and manage walks and other pet care services.
  • To access your home safely and securely when collecting and returning your dog.
  • To process payments and send invoices and booking confirmations.
  • To contact you with walk updates, schedule changes or urgent matters.
  • To seek veterinary care for your dog in an emergency.
  • To improve our website and services and, with your consent, send occasional news or offers.

4. Sharing With Third Parties

We never sell or rent your personal information. We only share it when necessary to provide our services, including with:

  • Our walkers and staff, who receive only the details they need for your dog’s walks.
  • Veterinarians and emergency services, if your dog needs urgent care.
  • Payment processors, booking and website platforms that operate our services on our behalf.
  • Our insurers or legal advisers, or authorities where required by law.

These third parties are expected to keep your information confidential and use it only for the purpose it was shared.

5. Keeping Your Data Safe

We take reasonable technical and practical steps to protect your information. House keys are stored securely and labelled without your address, access codes are kept confidential, and digital records are held on password-protected systems.

6. How Long We Keep It

We keep your information while you are a client and for as long as needed for accounting, insurance or legal purposes. When you stop using our services, we return or destroy any keys and delete access codes, and we securely delete personal data that is no longer required.

7. Your Rights

  • Ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or out of date.
  • Ask us to delete your information, where we are not required to keep it.
  • Unsubscribe from marketing messages at any time.
  • Withdraw consent for photos of your dog to be shared publicly.

8. Cookies and Our Website

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to make the site work, remember your preferences and understand how visitors use it. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings, although some features may not work as expected. Links to other websites are not covered by this policy.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page, and significant changes will be shared with current clients directly.
